Includes a “Find a Care Manger” directory by zip code. This association has stringent criteria for inclusion in their national directory. Also an excellent source for elder-care issues and the concept of care management.

» Aging Partners (formerly Lincoln Area Office on Aging) has information on services for elders in southeast Nebraska.

» The Veterans Aid and Attendance Benefit
This little known but unique benefit is not only for vets but also for a Vet’s spouse or surviving spouse. It can amount to over $2,000/month. Vet must have served in war time. The Vet or spouse must need assistance with activities of daily living. There is a financial qualification.
